Précision sur_l'état :	Oeuvre restaurée en 1954 par Marcel Maimponte. Oeuvre restaurée par Dominique Faunières, Olivier Rolland , Gilles Gaultier , Laurence Labbe et Anna Kisselinskaia entre 2021 et 2022.
Précision sur l'inscription :	Armoiries : deux mains jointes, armes de Sainte Foy (arc en accolade). Armoiries : armoiries de la famille d'Estaing, (répétées deux fois au-dessus du retable). Armoiries : armoiries de la famille d'Estaing, surmontées de la crosse et de la mître, armoiries de l'évêque François d'Estaing (à droite).
Précision_sur la representation :	Dans une niche gothique, au-dessus de l'autel, niche fermée par un arc en accolade et cantonné de deux pinacles. Au centre le Christ nu, les reins ceints d'un lige, à sa gauche saint Jean-Baptiste élève la main droite pour verser l'eau baptismale, à la droite un ange tient la tunique du Christ. Au-dessus du Christ, le buste du Père éternel sort du fond de la niche. Dans l'arc en en accolade au milieu d'une couronne les armes de Sainte Foy.
