Historique :	Guillaume II de Bastidos fut le huitième évêque de Vabres entre 1413 et 1421. Son portrait fut réalisé par Procope d'Ambert entre 1673 et 1683, à la demande de Louis de Baradat, évêque de Vabres de 1673 à 1710. Ce dernier commande en effet au peintre toute une série de portraits des évêques de Vabres. Le portrait fut ensuite repeint par Jean-Baptiste Delmas vers 1840 à la demande de l'évêque Pierre Giraud, évêque de Rodez et de Vabres de 1842 à 1850, dans le cadre de la constitution de la galerie des évêques au sein de l'évêché de Rodez.
