Description :	Le traitement de la surface de cette statue-menhir, très soigneusement régularisée, contraste avec la représentation de divers motifs gravés. Seul le nez est en léger relief. La bouche et le nez pourraient être des adjonctions plus tardives. Peu d’attibuts sont présents : une ceinture délimitée par deux traits parallèles et le poignard et son baudrier de suspension, caractéristiques des statues menhirs masculines du groupe rouergat. Plusieurs éléments la singularisent néanmoins nettement des autres statues-menhirs ; sa situation, au nord de l’aire de prédilection, la nature de la roche et surtout sa morphologie avec sa tête dégagée et ses épaules saillantes, qui la rapprochent des statues-menhirs de la région de Lunigiana en Italie. Le dos, dénué d’ornement et l’absence des jambes plaident pour cette comparaison. Sa datation est manifestement postérieure au Chalcolithique, sa parenté stylistique avec les statues du groupe C de Lunigiana (la forme ovalaire de la tête) daterait de l’âge du Bronze moyen (1700-1300 avant notre ère). Le trait qui recoupe le haut de la tête en arc de cercle est accidentel.
